Planning and Inspection ManagementNon Destructive Testing is a key function of QA/QC on new build or in-service outage, 'turn-around', and shutdown activities, and is
called upon by insurance and statutory regulations as a requisite for plant integrity assurance. The planning and management of inspection activities, combined with a professional NDT support service,
helps to minimise the intrusion of inspection activities on an outage or turnaround ‘strip & re-build’
programme, while ensuring all work is carried out and reported efficiently, to the relevant standards. Integrity NDT personnel have over 35 years of experience in planning, managing and carrying out NDT on all
aspects of power and process plant both in the UK and overseas. In addition to ad-hoc consultancy, we
currently provide this service annually to three Combined Cycle Gas Turbine power plants owned in part or
whole by International Power around the globe. Utilising SIMD our bespoke inspection management software tool (see software)….from planning stages, through to the
provision of professional ‘electronic’ inspection and summary reports at close out, Integrity NDT can help to
ensure that NDT is not only cost effective and efficient, but also makes a significant contribution to
plant integrity and asset management.
